  • Thank you for coming yesterday Lyn and Emily and thank you for the kind donation, as you know mum loved children and would always stop to talk to them, so the charity sense was what would have made mum happy that her passing would help children that needed her help, sorry auntie Ivy could not be with us but we all understood

John Ratcliffe donated £50 in memory of Daisy

I 'inherited' Daisy when I married my late Rosemary (nee Hopwood) whom she had fondly known since childhood. Daisy's face would always light up whenever we met and many a happy time was had especially well before Christmas - Daisy couldn't wait to get the first card posted, the decorations up and chocolate tin opened. A warm kind hearted lady who I took to and shall miss. I would also like to mention Reg for a moving tribute to his 'motherly sister' and to Daisy's daughters Sonja and Wendy - you did your Mum proud. Thank you also to Wendy and Keith for opening their house up - surprise, surprise, the coffee walnut cake went first...

Sad to lose such a wonderful auntie, but very pleased to donate to such a wonderful cause. Auntie Daisy made my childhood very special and it was always clear how much she cared for children - she spoilt us all rotten with her cakes, crocheted blankets and best of all, her cuddles. She would have loved you choosing this charity in her honour - well done Wendy and Sonia and lots of love to you at this sad time xxx RIP Auntie Daisy. Gone but never forgotten.

Marilyn Huxter donated £10 in memory of Daisy

Daisy was such a kind lady always caring about her family and friends. I have lovely memories of her visiting the residents in a Broadstone care home were I worked. Daisy never came empty handed and always brought some flowers from her garden or lovely knitted blankets she made herself. She was special and unique. Love from Marilyn Huxter to all her family. XX
