Anne was born in Sheffield in 1938 to John and Mabel Kelly. She had an elder brother Peter, and a younger sister Jo. They were evacuated to Castleton during the war, and later she grew up in Sheffield surrounded by a large extended family. Connection with her family and friends was something that Anne held dear throughout her life.
Anne was married to Bernard in 1964 and had four sons, Chris, Martin, Tim and Michael. More recently, she was very happy to tilt the family gender balance back towards the female as she welcomed her daughters-in-law, Cathy, Jay, Alex and Katrin to the family. Anne always enjoyed having the family together and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren – Esther, Gabby, William, Ben, and Elsa.
Anne passed away peacefully on 30th May 2022 with her family close by, which would have given her great comfort.
