In loving memory of Susan Ann Coombs. Sadly passed away on 18th May 2022. Born in ? On 10th March 1942.

She was a gifted child who went to Wimborne Grammar School and then onto University to study Mathematics. She taught Maths at St. Mary's Gate School and then at and Homefield School. Thinking of my days at SMG and all the memories of Mrs Coombs. I always remember her turquoise Nissan pulling up outside school and Sarah, Sam, Sacha and Stephanie piling out. It is good to remember how my Mum and Mrs Coombs were such great colleagues. Happy memories. Sorry Mrs Coombs that I was such a bad maths scholar! Thinking of the whole Coombs family at this very sad time and so soon after their father passing away. Sending love. Sorry I can’t attend the funeral but my thoughts will be with you. Xxx

Mrs Coombs, was a wonderful maths teacher at St Mary’s Gate school, then many years later, she taught my son at Homefied School where I worked. Horses were her life passion and also my sister’s too. So saw her regularly throughout the years and at school reunions. She will be missed by so many people. My condolences to her family.

Sincere condolences to all family members. I treasure fond memories of Mrs Coombs at St. Mary’s Gate who thought me maths during my five years (1979-1984) at the school. My warm thoughts across miles from New Zealand.
