I remember, when I was growing up in the mid to late sixties, Mum going out on a cold and windy evening in the run up to Christmas saying she'd be back be back in a while. And she went out to deliver 'collection envelopes' around Woodthorpe, Nottingham for the NSPCC. Nick, myself and Bill have always supported the NSPCC.
In the near future I will also be making a donation to The Child Poverty Action Group, in memory of my big brother Nick.

My life has been enriched by knowing you Nick. Whether through reading your pithy political commentaries or your hilarious anecdotes about your notable taxi passengers (Sacha Distel being amongst the best), you always raised a smile. Over 30 years you were a loyal walking, wine tasting, share clubbing and canasta coaching friend to both me and John. I hope you are now at peace.
