Thank you to all that came yesterday, waiting patiently in that heat for Dad to arrive. His timekeeping I’m life wasn’t the best, so it was fitting and rather comic that he would be late one last time

I believe that the funeral directors were able to extend the web feed - the service should be back online within the next few days to watch again, for those that were unable to.

We have been truly humbled by your kind messages here, thoughtful sympathy cards and generous donations to St Catherine’s Hospice. Darren, Megan and myself send our gratitude and thanks.

With love and best wishes

Arthur you may be gone ,but will never be forgotten. A much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and last but not least you were our last "tie" with the Rhondda Fach.

It is with great sadness that we cannot be in Glyntaf today, but you will be foremost in our thoughts as always.

RIP, you will be sorely missed, Nos Da, Graham, Enid, Rhys and Robert

To the first Christmas card you sent me, to this last letter I received from you before I left for the Caribbean which I decided take with me. As I read it now, I can see your kind heart through your words. Rest in peace Uncle Arthur. Till we meet again x

Always coming with wise words & a helping hand. We didn’t get to speak much but when we did, it was always valued time. Right up to our last phone call we had just after Christmas 2021 which I with treasure forever.

I met Arthur when I first came to Wales to live in 1979, He and Marion were really welcoming and gave me an excellent impression of people who were authentic, caring, cultured and interested in the wider world. They became our daughter's Godparents. Arthur was an outstanding individual, with huge integrity, always seeing the best in people and in difficult situations. He will be really missed. Roedd Arthur yn gyfaill arbennig I ni fel teulu ac yn gydweithiwr fel athro yn Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen. Bu ef a Marion yn gefnogol iawn I mi yn ystod problemau afiechyd. R.I.P.

Carolyn, Penny and Jess from Trealaw Meeting wrote

Trealaw Quaker Meeting owes Arthur a debt of gratitude for his long and faithful service to the Meeting. He served our Meeting in many roles over the years and was especially faithful in attending to needs of older members, even as he was advancing in years! His gentle, thoughtful and accepting attitude to all exemplified George Fox's words: 'Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you come, that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in everyone.'
Arthur will be much missed by us all.
