Gordon Frederick Henderson (20 Aug 1942 - 27 Feb 2022)

In loving memory of Gordon Frederick Henderson who sadly passed away on 27th February 2022

Gordon was born in Blackpool 20th August 1942 to mother Winifred (who was a singer) and father (Gordon senior) who became an Accountant after the war II.

Family moved from Wathamstow to Hadleigh, Essex in 1958-9. Since his teenage years, Gordon Jnr was very interested in engines, steam engines and vintage cars. He became a car mechanic & worked around Hadleigh and was a member of many car clubs in Essex, around Southend.

Sadly Gordon senior died in 1971 and Gordon junior stayed at home (he never married) with his mother.
His mother died in 2002 (aged 94) and her ashes exist at Southend Crematorium’s Garden of Remembrance where it’s hoped Gordon’s ashes will be spread to rest in peace with his mum.
