Tithe Green Burial Ground is an award-winning natural burial ground in Calverton, Nottinghamshire, spread across 36 acres of woodland and meadow area. Opened in 2009, the site is situated within Sherwood Forest and is a haven for wildlife.

This natural burial ground was the winner of the Best Burial Ground in the UK category at the Good Funeral Awards 2018. Woodland (where a tree is planted on the grave) and meadow burials (in an open space) can take place at Tithe Green, and the site also allows the interment of ashes. Grave plots can be purchased in advance, and family plots are available at the meadow burial areas.

Should you wish to inter cremated remains in a meadow grave plot, this can be arranged at Tithe Green. You can also purchase a plot for cremated remains in advance.

Families can also purchase memorial trees, to be planted near the meadow burial grave. Choose from native trees such as lime, oak, field maple, wild cherry, rowan or silver birch. You can mark the grave by purchasing a grave plaque or a tree plaque made from dark grey Welsh slate or untreated wood – these can be laid flat on the ground or fixed to a tree.

You can make an appointment for a guided tour of the premises. On site facilities include a car park that can hold up to 30 cars.
