Catering to bereaved families who live in the north east of Cornwall, Pentiddy Natural Burials is a woodland burial site near Liskeard with picturesque views towards Dartmoor and the coast.

The informal, family-run site is a tranquil and beautiful woodland area which is part of Pentiddy Woods, an ecological project which was found in 2002. Covered with native trees, the natural burial ground is an ideal setting for a green funeral in Cornwall.

The site supports families who would like to organise part or all of the funeral themselves and are able to provide advice on the steps that need to be taken. If you would like to arrange a memorial service or ceremony, a nearby roundhouse can be booked for free. Firewood can also be supplied to keep the space warm, for a small fee.

Families are asked to avoid using materials such as ply and chipboard for coffins, and use eco friendly materials such as willow or cardboard. Pentiddy Natural Burials have connections with local suppliers who can create environmentally friendly coffins and shrouds, with the option of flowers, shells and leaves woven into the fabric. Flowers and wreaths may be placed on the graves for a reasonable time but these must be free from plastic and packaging.

The staff at Pentiddy Natural Burials are happy to address questions and take families on a site tour to help you choose a spot, with an appointment. There is a small car park available on-site.
