Hay Meadow Burial Ground in Llandrindod Wells is a peaceful and secluded natural burial site in the rural Welsh countryside, offering an eco friendly alternative to a traditional burial. With scenic views of the hills of Radnorshire, they hay meadow is part of a family-owned farmland area and is home to a rich diversity of native plants, wildflowers and animals.

There are single, double and family burial plots available to purchase. Cremation ashes can be buried in biodegradable caskets in the meadows, and the scattering of ashes is permitted.

Hay Meadow welcomes members of all religions, faiths and beliefs. From a simple service at the grave to a traditional affair involving a wake or celebration at a church or local venue before or after the burial, they are supportive of families wishes.

If you wish to honour the memory of the person who has died, an engraved oak plaque can be placed at the graveside. An oak memorial pillar can be erected in the ashes area for ashes scattering. Alternatively, a limited number of benches, bird and bat boxes can be purchased as a memorial tribute.

A large parking area is available with a dedicated space for hearses. Disabled parking can be reserved in advance. Visitors are welcome during daylight hours. Please call to make an appointment if you’d like to visit the site, or for more information about green burials.
