They can help you get in touch with funeral directors and the local clergy to help you organise a green funeral of your choice, whether that it a simple service at the grave or a non religious ceremony. Coffins and urns need to be made of biodegradable material and the staff can help families source this.
Bereaved families are welcome to take a stroll along the bridle path running through the site to take in the quiet beauty of the Dorset countryside. The green burial site has a variety of small animals and birds including badgers, foxes, heron, barn owls, deer, butterflies and songbirds.
Some of the trees which contribute towards the charm of the natural burial site include lime, oak, hornbeam, whitebeam and silver birch. Families can also lay fresh floral tributes on graves, as long as they are free from non eco-friendly packaging.
