Eden Valley Woodland Burial Ground is a natural burial ground catering to families in and around Edenbridge, Kent. The secluded woodland area which is spread across 22-acres has a beautiful carpet of bluebells, alongside young oak trees.

Burial plots can be purchased in advance or after someone dies, and family plots are available as well. In keeping with the requirements of a green funeral, the person must be buried in an eco-friendly coffin or casket in a hand-dug grave. Graves can be marked with native wildflowers or a memorial tree can be planted in memory of the person who has died.

Families are encouraged to use natural and environmentally friendly materials for coffins, shrouds, caskets and urns. Wood coffins may be used but they must be made from wood sourced from accredited forests in Britain. The person’s possessions may be buried alongside them, but these must also be made from biodegradable materials.

Eden Valley Woodland Burial Grounds welcomes bereaved families from all faiths and religions, and are happy to accommodate any type of memorial service or ceremony – modern or traditional.
