Families are free to organise a green funeral in whatever way they choose. The ceremony may be held at the graveside or at crematorium, and be followed by a reception or wake at a nearby venue, or vice versa. The friendly staff can advise on how to organise different kinds of ceremonies which are true to the wishes of the person who has died. They are able to recommend local funeral directors who will be able to help families organise a meaningful service.
Families can choose to erect a wooden plaque or plant a memorial tree to honour the memory of the person who has died. This should be done within a year of the funeral and during planting season (November - March).
