I would give Huntley's a 5 star rating, but for one problem.

The support in arranging the funeral was first class with Sam combining consideration and care with practicalities. Everything for the funeral itself was as I expected.
The reduction of a star was because the grave was not dug large enough, which resulted in the coffin not being lowered. Whilst this was quickly and discreetly rectified within a space of a quarter of an hour or so, it should not have happened. The funeral director was clearly deeply embarrassed and apologetic, and we as a family accepted this as it was clearly sincerely meant.

Subsequently Huntleys's phoned me to offer their apologies together with an offer to reduce their fees and to make a charitable donation. We recognize that mistakes do occur, but this should not have happened.

Exceptional support,care and attention,felt really cared for in the company of staff namely Sam. Considering the circumstances the whole experience left a feel good feeling my mother was well taken care of and had the send off that she would have been proud of my she rest in peace.

We received home visits from our funeral director, Samantha Pitt, that made the process a lot easier as arranging a funeral was something we had never done before. Samantha went above and beyond our requests and answered all our questions; nothing was too much trouble. She was supportive and provided thoughtful suggestions - all of which were appropriate and suitable. We can't thank Samantha enough for her input as it truly made the service (and overall experience) a positive and memorable one.
Following the service, the number of people who contacted us to say although the occasion was heartbreaking, it was a beautiful, tailored funeral service for my Mum. Everyone felt it was so uplifting. We can't speak highly enough of Huntleys.
