On the 2nd April 2023 our mother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at Western General Hospital. Our family are spread out all over the country with only my sister living in the local area. It was also just before the Easter weekend. Pearce Funeral services were absolutely brilliant at helping us through this very difficult time. They dealt with all the arrangements for collecting Mum from the hospital and taking her to the chapel of rest. They then came to my sisters house to meet with us to discuss arrangements. Everybody that we dealt with either by phone or in person were so lovely and professional. At the meeting we weren't rushed and were able to take our time to discuss and plan the funeral. John took all the details in readiness to get the order of service printed. We gave him our hymn choices and a photograph of our Mum for the order of service. We also asked for recommendations for a florist which they gave us and they too were excellent. They arranged for the order of service sheets to be printed and double checked all the details including the words for the hymns to ensure that everything was correct. We also discussed having a photograph to be shown on the screen during the service. Mum had been living in a care home prior to her death and it was arranged for the funeral to be live streamed to the home so that staff were able to watch. It will also be available for us to send to family and friends that were unable to make it. They just took care of absolutely everything. I also was able to go the chapel of rest and visit my mum to say my goodbyes. This was a very emotional moment but again the chapel was lovely and very peaceful and I was left alone to say my goodbyes with staff on hand should I need them. On the day of the funeral they were brilliant and kept us informed of what was to happen. They hearse met us at my sisters house and we all followed it to the crematorium. On arrival again staff kept us informed of what was to happen. We had a beautiful service conducted by a family friend a minister who had flown down from Scotland. Afterwards the undertakers took the flowers out to a meeting area and had also arranged for the collection box as we had requested donations to the Alzheimer's Society. From start to finish I felt completely confident in the staff at Pearce Funeral Services. Everything went perfectly thanks to their work and their attention to detail. I cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone living in the Swindon area. Thank you to everyone at Pearce Funeral Services.

A very professional service from Pearce Funerals, Kaz directed my Mums funeral and it was both dignified and caring, showing great respect for the deceased and my family.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this company, they will be my first choice when I need to arrange another.
My Mum did not have a pre-paid funeral plan in place when she passed away, however, I will be taking one out for an elderly relative as it simplifies the process and ensures that their wishes are carried out.
My thanks go to John, Liz, Kaz and the team, you were all so kind and supportive during this time of grief.        The Silvester family.

On behalf of my entire family I would like to say Thank you to John and his team. They were professional from start to finish but more importantly for us, kind and caring

  • 5 Susan Wright 29th Oct 2022

I really don’t know where to begin, I contacted John and his team on the morning my dad passed and spoke with Caz who was so lovely so caring and listened to everything I was telling her taking the time to make notes, explaining everything in detail, so I understood, as soon as John returned to the office he called me  a lovely compassionate man who went that extra mile to help me and my family, I can’t thank them enough, nothing was any trouble they kept us updated regularly, they couldn’t have done anymore for us the funeral itself was perfect  just as dad would have liked and such a lovely touch that all the funeral staff wore yellow ties on the day to match the family, thank you John your such a kind man Sarah and family of Fred Wright

  • 5 Emma Walker 22nd Oct 2022

Pearce Funeral Services looked after the funeral arrangements for us after my dad passed away and I cannot speak highly enough of the the service and support we received.

I actually originally sought the services of another well known funeral director but was given very little guidance or support and shown little compassion for our situation. We were treated like a number on a conveyor belt! I was so upset that  I looked for another company and found the brilliant Pearce Funeral Services following recommendations from friends. I can confidently say that not all Funeral Directors are the same!

John and his team at Pearce Funeral Services treated my dad with such dignity and respect and guided us every step of the way with such compassion, warmth, professionalism, and care. The funeral itself was thoughtfully tailored to us as a family with some beautiful personal touches that will stay with us forever.  The service itself was carried out by an excellent celebrant arranged through John, who carried out a wonderfully warm and very fitting tribute to my dad.

Words really can’t express enough how grateful we are to Pearce Funeral Services. They have been so kind to my family and me and we will never forget the kindness, guidance and support they have given us through this really emotional and difficult time.

I have no hesitation in recommending Pearce Funeral Services to anyone who wants the personal touch and the best possible farewell for their loved ones.
