Darren was brilliant throughout the whole process. He helped arrange funerals for both of my grandparents when they sadly passed away just 6 months between one another. He is kind, conscientious, and goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is thought of. I cannot recommend enough.

As an independent family business, Darren is very much at the helm, and was personally involved at every stage, though I have only good to say about everyone I encountered at the firm, namely Gosia, Chris and Graham. I suppose you would expect a funeral director to be quiet and dignified, but I felt that Darren went over and above, giving me as much time as I needed, answering my questions, and doing so much to help us have the funeral we wanted. Gosia did the flowers, and followed the brief perfectly; we were delighted with the floral tributes and displays. This being the first funeral I have had to deal with, I realised quickly that engaging a funeral director was unlike anything else - it isn't like ringing around making comparisons before buying a car or such like. You probably tend to go with the first one you call. We could not have been happier with the service we received from Darren MacDonald Funeral Directors, and can wholehearted recommend them.

We were so pleased to find this company to guide us through a very difficult time. Darren and his lovely wife were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The floral wreath that she made for us was amazing as we told her that my husband Simon loved wild flowers and she managed to recreate a wildflower meadow for him which was incredible and perfect. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for the caring and dignified service that our family received from Darren and his company. My mother had the funeral that she had requested and every member of the family, those that attended and those that joined us by webcast were touched and impressed by the ceremony. The flowers were beautiful and there was not a moment during the planning stages that I did not feel completely taken care of. Our whole family highly recommend Darren and thank him for making a sorrowful day such a beautiful one for us to cherish in our memories.

Excellent support and service from Darren MacDonald and all his team. They supported us with the Funeral Plan for my Mother in Salisbury and provided very caring and reassuring guidance throughout the process with great and sympathetic attention to detail. They were available at all times and very prompt with our requests and organising all our wishes and provided guidance when required. Their in house florist did an amazing job with our Funeral flowers following our bespoke requests. We cannot thank Darren and his team enough for their kindness and support and for providing an affordable and efficient service. Highly recommended.

The personal approach Darren MacDonald and his team gave us was outstanding. We could not have picked better for my father's Funeral. Compassionate, kind and calming, incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I really felt looked any concerns which were minor were addressed promptly. On the day of the funeral everything was perfectly organised and Darren ensured we were all looked after. The spray of flowers were stunning and uplifting and the thoughtful suggestion of the Union Jack was perfect - something we had not thought to ask. Darren provided a compassionate and sensitive service. We had a couple of minor wishes which he incorporated without hitch or fuss. His attitude was professional but relaxed and appropriate. He and Chris kept us fully up to date as the preparations advanced. He liaised very closely with Louise Jopling, the Humanist Celebrant, to provide us with a wonderful woodland burial that was appreciated by all who attended. The costs of the funeral were very reasonable and I would fully and unhesitatingly recommend his services.
