When my sister and myself chose Bewley's to handle my mother's funeral we just took a chance by phoning a local number. What a brilliant and fortuitous choice that happened to be; every single member of the business handled their task with warmth, sensitivity and impressive professionalism. In the painful aftermath of losing a beloved parent Patrick talked us through every aspect with gentle understanding, like a wise friend on whom you knew you could depend. When we visited our mother in the Chapel of Rest the environment had been thoughtfully created to embrace the faith of many and to embrace those who follow a different path; we felt that our mum was being cared for as if she was a member of an extended family and this gave us great comfort at a very difficult moment. 
Nothing was too much trouble and every aspect and conversation was handled appropriately; on the day of the service the team were solicitous and we once more felt mightily assured by quiet, dignified conduct and friendliness. This was a wonderful example of how a funeral can be a truly positive experience and my sister and I will be grateful to the team until the end of our days for making this experience as memorable and as joyous as we hoped it would be. An outstanding team. You can put your faith in them absolutely.

I was very pleased with everything you did for mum and I concerning the funeral. I cannot thank you enough for your time, patience and consideration. Many thanks indeed.
I was not however very pleased with the services of Angela. She came to see Mum and I approx 10 days before the event. I was only sent the final script on the evening before at about 6.00, which I then had to correct, as several facts were wrong, and send back.
I am sure you agree that this is far too late to be still sorting such important details.
She is fortunate that I am able to deal with emails. If she had been dealing with Mum, who does not understand theses things, I am afraid several details would have been incorrect and the service as a whole would have been a complete shambles. as it was, she missed two grandchildren off the list.
Would you not think that someone dealing with something so important should be better organised?

I would like to thank Patrik and his team for their care and respect shown to me and my family at our time of loss. They have been thoroughly professional and guided us thoughtfully through all necessary arrangements, no one should have any qualms about choosing them to look after a departed loved one

I cannot praise DJ Bewley highly enough. They dealt with the family with compassion, gently guiding us through the cremation process, contacting the celebrant and arranging the floral tribute.
They also provided some very useful information on actions to be taken as next of kin of the deceased. Having all the information in one place made facing the tasks easier

From the initial telephone call when you feel overwhelmed and at a loss Patrick and his staff were atttentive to all families needs and willing to make ammendments when and if required from original requests.Every members of staff we dealt with were
supportive of family throughout the process, at all times working with the family involving them. All member of staff were always well presented polite and approachable. Ryan was particularly patient, helpful and informative when helping myself and one of the grandchildren with our own design for the order of service.
My Father's last journey was handled with dignity and respect. Thank you to Patrick and his excellent team.

D J Bewley were exactly what we needed at such a vulnerable time - compassionate, professional, and they lead us through everything we needed to know, or at least guided us toward who to contact. They managed to organise their part of the requirements leading up to my mother's funeral perfectly, despite the fact that we, for personal reasons, needed it to happen very, very quickly. And despite the hurry it was a lovely day, everything went smoothly and as planned, and with no added pressure on us at all. They did a tremendous job. Our great thanks to them.
