When my husband passed away in 2020 I contacted the Co-op, who were exceptional.  On the strength of this I recommended the Co-op on the death of my Mother in Law on 30th November.

I have not, however, been impressed with the service received this time around.  I received phone calls from different people all asking me the same question - does no-one actually pass messages on?  

When the undertaker visited the deceased's home for consultation with the family, I was given a receipt for two rings that the deceased was wearing on her death.  These however have never been passed back to family and have apparently been lost somewhere along the line.    I understand from my brother in law that we will receive compensation for this but nevertheless, it won't replace the sentimental value.

I must point out that the funeral itself was very good - I have no problems regarding that side of things.

We received excellent service from Horbury Funeral Care, nothing was too much trouble. There can be a lot of decisions to be made and things to organise but we had all the help and support that we needed at every stage. Staff were professional but personal and made sure that everything went smoothly on the day. I would not hesitate to recommend them and we are very grateful for everything that they did for us at what was a very difficult time.
