We had to change funeral directors 4 days before the funeral , as the staff had Covid at the Horsforth branch. It worked out very well, as the stand in director was fantastic, and very professional. He liaised with us more than the original allocated director. Darren was perfect for the day.

We were left very disappointed by the service we received from the Horsforth branch.
It took them nearly 4 weeks to get our father to their chapel of rest and no explanation why it was taking so long, just it would always be 'next week'.
We were informed we had 'missed' deadlines which we hadn't even been informed about.
To say they were suppose to be making the process as stress free as possible we certainly didn't feel this was the case.
Luckily for us our father was later moved to the Worksop branch who conducted the funeral and we had a different experience. They were very helpful.

The process was very carefully and sensitively handled throughout by all the people we came into contact with from the lovely ladies who came to take my father from his home to rest at the central chapel prior to the service some weeks later, to Debbie at Horsforth who kept me informed throughout and especially Moira who was the most lovely funeral director and who made a difficult thing seem so natural and wanted to do the very best not just for us as a family but also for my late father. He would have definitely been impressed! Thank you.
