Belinda and the team at H.H. Birch were both sensitive to the situation and professional throughout the whole process. This being the first time I've had to deal with the complicated legal process around a death I was very concerned it would all be complicated, but with the support of H.H. Birch I knew the funeral was in hand so I could focus on missing my grandpa and getting the other elements regarding his death sorted knowing that everything would go ok.

The funeral itself was very nice and exactly what we wanted.

a warm and friendly welcome from Belinda who talked me through the process, she was knowledgeable, helpful, sympathetic and approachable, nothing was too much trouble.
the short service at the crematorium was well organised and tasteful, the whole thing was flawless and Belinda was unobtrusive but there as a strong support.

Andrew at H H Birch was so kind and caring during a difficult time for us as a family. He looked after mum and made sure we knew she was in good hands. Explaining everything and also taking the time to make sure we as a family were okay. The organising of the service ad making sure that all mum's wishes were met. The support of all the staff made visiting mum calming. Andrew is very compassionate and his dedication to making everything right made the day itself perfect as it could be. Thank you to Birch's and Andrew for all your help and support.

The whole funeral process was handled with professionalism and respect. Belinda was the person I liaised with regarding the arrangements for my mother's service and she was really lovely. John who drove our limousine was easy to chat to also. Thank you all for any part you played in that day.

The service we received from H H Birch following the death of our mother was excellent. They made a difficult and emotional situation so much easier than we anticipated.  Belinda especially was friendly, caring, supportive and guided us through the entire process. Professional at all times. 

We found the company prompt, reliable and approachable no matter how many times we rang them or changed things. 

We as a family would not hesitate to recommend them. Cannot praise them highly enough. My special thanks go to Belinda who made the entire process bearable, even made me smile.

I have nothing but praise for H.H.Birch Funeralcare, Nab Wood. From start to finish they were wonderful and did everything possible to make a difficult situation as easy as they possibly could, making suggestions but most of all, listening to my wishes and making sure they were carried out. Visiting the Funeral Home was not at all how I expected - it was so pleasant and welcoming, with soothing pictures on the walls, and tasteful decorations, and all the staff couldn't have been nicer. Thank you so much, everyone - I am deeply grateful to you all.

David and the team at HH Birch, Nabwood provided an excellent service. They enabled me to arrange a woodland burial for my Mom and handled everything with compassion, dignity and efficiency. Thank you.

I was far less impressed with the Co-op financial services. I had a phone call with a financial adviser which I can only describe as 'hard sell'. The call lasted 1 hour the majority of which was me providing information (including the full names, dates of birth of my children) to enable the advisor to complete a form and provide a quote for the co-op to complete probate forms. The quote was nearly £7,000 for what I know is a very straightforward probate application (I recently completed a complex case for my mother in law). The advisor asked me to tell him what I felt the advantages would be of the coop undertaking this work. He stressed the urgency of starting the work and asked when I would be able to give a response to the quote. I felt pressurised, and this was only 7 days after my mother's death when I am sure a lot of people would be very vulnerable. It may be that the coop offers other financial support, but based on my experience with this call, I would not be recommending the financial services to my friends or family.
