The service we received from Coop Funeral Care was excellent. Everything was done with a high degree of professionalism, empathy and friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble and their communication leading up to the actual funeral was second to none. A special thank you to Denise Ashwood for all her help in making my Mum's funeral a lovely celebration of her life, just the way she would have wanted it, thank you all so much.

The funeral cars arrived approximately 15 minutes late. No explanation, or apology, given.

My mother's picture was not displayed during the service. I had handed it in personally to Denise (Coop) and she took a scan copy of the photo (of me with my mother) and said it would be edited to just show my mother. If there was a problem with the photo, then I should have been contacted prior to the service. Surely these things are checked?

The wrong version of the reflective song was played (even though I had amended it several times on the celebrant’s service details, and I had discussed this matter with Denise at Coop Funeral Directors). I raised my concerns at my last meeting with Denise that Amanda had put Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli for Time to Say Goodbye. I confirmed that I wanted the Andrea Bocelli on his own version playing at the funeral. Denise assured me that she would look into this for me. We went through all four songs to be played (listing the songs and the artists) I couldn't have been any clearer.

Although other people attending the funeral would not have noticed the errors, I did. It spoilt the service for me. This was the one song that my mother had requested for me to play at her funeral, and I feel that I have let her down by not ensuring everything was correct. I cannot re-do the service, and the errors made will forever ruin my memory of what should have been a special day to honour my mother.

I feel so let down by the Coop.

Co-op Funeral Care was fabulous when it came to dealing with my brother's funeral. It was seamless and stress-free for us as a family. We were well looked after and there were no hitches. They liaised with the local church and crematorium and we had only to ask for anything we required and it would be done. Thank you.

Jamie and his whole team provided an experience which my family will always be grateful of.

From the moment we contacted the Co-op Funeral Parlour in Livingston regarding my fathers passing, Jamie took the pressure and organisation of our minds. Their advice, guidance and professionalism was nothing short of wonderful.

My family and Friends cannot thank them enough for taking and being with us during this journey and a special mention for Jamie the funeral director.

They did my Father proud.

The passage of information was atrocious. Apart from 1 call to mention the cremation date they did nothing else to keep the family of the bereaved in the picture as to what was happening.

Denise & Jamie were very helpful and made the process as easy as possible for us.  They were very respectful with my dad & dealt with our emotions very well.  

We have used the co-op in the past & I now want to purchase a funeral plan for myself & my husband as this also helped with the process of arranging my father’s funeral.

Can’t thank Jamie and Lynsey enough for all the help and support for arranging my mums funeral. From the first phone call to them saying goodbye after my mums service, the effort and professionalism was greatly appreciated. Everything was tailored to suit our requests and the little touches such as acknowledging that my mum was young was nice to see as not all people who die are old. At such a sad time for me, they just lightened the load and I am forever thankful to them.
