I never imagined I would be organising my fathers funeral so soon, and what seemed like one of the hardest things in the world to do Mike and the team at John Taylor Funeral Care made the most painful of experiences that little bit easier to manage. From the moment myself and my sister sat down with Mike to discuss the initial planning of our fathers funeral nothing was too much trouble and you really felt cared for. Our dad had been poorly for just a short while, but during that time he seemed to age at least 20 years and due to the invasive treatments he had lost some of his hair. The team at John Taylor ensured that when we went to say final goodbyes with our children they were able to say goodbye with better memories of him looking just as he did before the illness. The days surrounding the funeral we were introduced to Angela, the Funeral Director looking after dad that day. Her welfare check ins were really thoughtful and being able to have a direct line to her even if it was just for a chat or to clear any worries was great peace of mind. When the day arrived Angela and the team were simply perfect and rather than looking back on a day filled with dread and sadness it is one that I can smile about because as painful as losing him was he really was in the best hands. Thank you so much to all that had a helping hand in the transition of our dear dad, you are wonderful people and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts in guiding us through such a difficult journey and looking after our father as best as you did.

Mike did a great job of looking after us throughout, slight stress on the day as there was no one to carry the coffin. But we did some of it ourselves which was ok.
