John Taylor Funeralcare, Leamington Spa

We have previously had excellent service from John Taylor but this time, arranging my dad's funeral, was terrible. We arrived for a prearranged appointment but we were clearly not expected. I completed paperwork as directed, n the office in Leamington - a few days before the funeral, and less than 24 hours before the crematorium deadline, I was told a signature was missing. This was a challenge and very stressful as we were on holiday. I was
very clear that we wanted a non religious service and asked for a celebrant to be booked - a Catholic Priest was booked!

When things started to go wrong, I spoke to the main Coop Complaints Team who were very helpful. Although it took 2 days, after the mix up with the celebrant, for someone to call me, a funeral director from the Daventry Branch rang me and took over the arrangements, taking them away from Leamington. She booked a celebrant for me who was very professional. On the day, under the new direction, the service and support was excellent. Just a pity it followed such a stressful time early in the arrangements

The staff were very helpful in arranging my cousins funeral, as l was unaware of his passing, had been in the f7neral hone gor 5 weeks once l heard about it, l arranged with their assistance and a lack of dates on my side, the were respectful, kind and the aftercare very good

I wholeheartedly recommend John Taylor Funeralcare 100%. My mum wasn’t living in Leamington at the time of her passing but she grew up here so we wanted to bring her home for her final journey. My family have used John Taylor before so they came highly recommended. From the initial phone call to picking up her ashes, the process has been smooth. Sharon has taken great care of my sister and I and when they say they take on the stressful parts, they really mean it. Nothing has been too much trouble and everything has been as we and Mum would’ve wanted. We couldn’t have wished for a better send off for our mum. We knew mum was taken great care of and felt safe leaving her with them before her final journey. I cannot thank them enough and more importantly, Mum would’ve been so happy with the care and respect she was given. Thank you all at John Taylor, especially to Sharon.

From the moment we lost our Dad we felt in safe hands with John Taylor Funeralcare.

Sharon talked us through what needed to be done in a very clear and patient manner which was so reassuring and helpful - it took a lot of the pain away and what is a very stressful time suddenly felt as if everything was going to be OK.

During the period awaiting the funeral again Sharon and Rose were so helpful and made sure that on the day it would be OK.

Advising us on using Jason Clearly was fantastic as he is such a lovely man and he made the service absolutely beautiful.

Angela was amazing on the day (as were all of the staff, but I'm afraid I didn't see much of them but that just means they did a brilliant job) - making sure we were all OK and the respect and compassion she had for our Dad was beautiful.

You held our hands when we needed you the most - thank you all at John Taylor Funeralcare - you are amazing xx

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team at John Taylor in Leamington. From our initial meeting to the follow up a call after the funeral everything was handled with care, sensitivity and understanding - a dash of humour now and then was very welcome! A fantastic service from start to finish, a big thank you to everyone involved.

Very upset and stressed regarding the embalming, I had to phone and ask twice to view.
However the day of the funeral went well and was I was very pleased.

From start to finish the process was made simple and stress free. Everybody was so kind and respectful - Rose handled our meeting so well, and on the day Angela was just fabulous, as well as the rest of the team. We were also recommended a celebrant who was also wonderful. Thank you for making a difficult time as easy as it could be.

Sharon was incredible, made such a terrible time that little bit more bareable.
Nothing was too much trouble, she definitley went above and beyond for us.
Also Jason Cleary the celebrant was incredible, his words were truly reflective of mum, infact everybody commented how nice the service was.

Unfortunately a lot of things were let out or mistaken.
I Mums last name misspelled on brass plate, which was to be placed on coffin.
2.items to be placed in mums coffin, we’re not. Despite personally handing it to a staff member.(only noticed when I saw mum in chapel of rest) They were left in John Taylor’s safe.
3 lots and lots of errors on order of service despite going over it.
5 Priest said he had to contact them for information as the office had not called him, like they said they would. CD player did not work on day of funeral. Even though I was told it had been checked.therefore a song Mum loved and had been played at all other family funerals, was not
