Excellent service from Chris and his team. We were kept informed every step of the way and any questions we had were swiftly dealt with by Shirley on reception. On the day everything went very smoothly. A special mention for Gill Atkinson who performed the ceremony for us and did so perfectly.

I could not speak more highly of the Co-op funeral services. From the very first contact when my mum had just died, to the funeral arrangements and aftercare. Both Shirley and Chris at the Whitley Bay branch made the harrowing process of arranging Stella’s funeral smooth and straightforward. Their mix of efficiency and empathy make them both superb ambassadors for Co-op Funeral Services.  
The process, which was new to me, was explained in an easy to understand way and I was kept informed at each stage along the way.  I would highly recommend their services.

We were very impressed with the care and service we received from our funeral director Chris . He was very helpful , kind and thoughtful . Also the staff at the funeral home were very kind to Claire when ever she visited Eva . We were impressed with the out of hours service when we wanted to see Eva over the weekend , it was no trouble for the on call funeral director to meet us on a Saturday . The funeral was managed really well, no pressure, helpful, simple. The humanist recommend was excellent and constructed and delivered the funeral in a very fitting way. My mother would have been pleased. Highly recommend.
