I was well supported by Gary McGee at the funeral of my husband, which was only 3 weeks after the funeral of my mother. Gary knew this, as he organised my mother’s funeral, and he was so professional whilst being very sympathetic at the same time.

Nikki was really helpful and supportive every time we spoke to her, everyone we spoke to were amazing.
My only issue was the lack of staffing in Throckley and I know that wasn’t the staffs fault so maybe the coop need to look at having more staff in the Throckley office.

Funeral went well apart from the livestream which didn't work. was very disappointed about this as family in Australia and Germany were trying to link in to this live! Was told it would be up and running in few days. It still is not after 10 days. Very disappointed 😞. Not the same as a live stream, where family would have been included. Not happy with this at all. Gary was very helpfull, and Gisele done a fabulous service. as I say very disappointed with the livestream

The experience felt awkward & rushed! When we went in took a while to get us seats . Felt like we having to  argue our corner to pay in full that day . The lady was a bit  short with us  .

From the minute we walked in we were treated with compassion and understanding from Olivia taking our first meeting to Gary who was very efficient and talked us through every step of the way and had everything timed smoothly fir the day. Maggie couldn’t have gave a better service. 
I couldn’t recommend high enough.

Co-operative Funeralcare Throckley helped take care of the arrangements for my mam’s funeral. The staff there have been incredibly supportive and their services were highly professional, we couldn’t recommend them enough. 

We also like to thank Nicola, for the incredible support and care she provided. She took such good care of my mam during her time in the chapel, and I know that she would be so thankful too. Nicola provided my family with such quality service and her dedication and kindness didn’t go a miss, in fact we think she deserves a pay rise for always going the extra mile! Nicola is incredibly down to earth and genuine and will always take the time to listen… thank you Nicola. 


Also, a huge thank you to Ian who planned such a beautiful service and ensured that every detail in the arrangements were spot on! Again, we cannot fault his professionalism and kindness, and cannot thank him enough for helping to plan the best send off for our mam. We appreciate it so much. The on-call staff were also incredibly accommodating too! Overall, outstanding service and outmost kindness and care in each staff member, we cannot thank you all enough!

The team at Coop Funeral care in Throckley made a distressing situation so easy to work through all staff were nothing but kind considerate and helpful . I felt very well supported through the whole process and the funeral service was handled wonderfully . I would happily recommend them to anyone going through what is always a difficult and challenging time .
