Right from the initial phone call to the co-op we as a family have been impressed by the knowledge expertise and professionalism of the staff especially Ian who has been in contact daily and kept us up to date with the process. The funeral itself was well planned and everything was perfect also the ceremony at the cemetery to inter the ashes of my late mother and father was so touching so thank you all you have been great

We cannot thank you enough for the very professional manner of your Benwell staff. All of the staff were exceptionally kind, caring and attentive right from the initial contact and subsequently on the day of the funeral. In addition, we really appreciated the follow up telephone call the next day. Our specific wishes were carried out as requested and the help and support of the staff has been greatly appreciated by all the family at such a very sad and difficult time. Kevin was awesome. I was travelling from the United States and he arranged the entire process so efficiently that my son and I were able to mourn in peace instead of running around to tie loose ends.

Kevin Phillips is a very good funeral director and I am impressed with how efficient he was.

The service all throughout this very difficult time was excellent mainly on the part of funeral director Gary McGee who made everything so easy and painless with his compassion and helpfulness. Only at the very end did he fall down slightly as he was unable to give me direct contact details for the registrar of deaths, but to be fair that was not in his remit.
Overall I would highly recommend Co-OP funeralcare to anyone who has suffered a bereavement as professional, compassionate and excellent funeral directors.

We opted for a direct cremation and a memorial service at a later date. The staff were very helpful and understanding. They contacted us regarding dates etc and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Benwell- Newacastle Branch.

From start to finish . The service  we received was excellent., for my uncles funeral never organising a funeral before. Didn’t know where to start. But from the first phone call to the coop we knew we had chosen the right company. Kevin Philips from Benwell coop was at hand every minute of the day. Real genuine nice person. Thank-you isn’t enough to say . Highly recommend the coop
