I have to say the Cooperative Funeral Service was outstanding. Richard Charlton the Funeral Director was so professional when taking our requests and organising a wonderful celebrant for us and keeping us informed throughout.
On the day of the funeral everything ran smoothly from the journey to the Crematorium and the direction of Service from Chris who ran things in a sensitive unrushed manner.
Thanks for enabling our family to celebrate our mother's life with dignity.

On the day it was traumatic but the "team" handled the organisation excellently, which again I and my family were very grateful for.

A big thank you to all at the co-op Benwell branch. Young man called Chris dealt with me from the off. Patient, understanding and sorted everything out. Lovely lady called Carly Fee done a beautiful Celebrant service. All in all a sensitive and fitting send off for my mother.

In my time of need, the Co-op went above and beyond to help me and my family.
Due to a plan with the Co-op, which my Mother took out many years before her death, she had the funeral she wanted. They looked after us before, on and after the day. I cannot praise them enough

I was highly satisfied with the experience overall. I found the whole process easy to engage with and I was supported throughout the process. The additional support in the form of a discussion with legal colleagues was really appreciated. I needed some clarity, as having some legal knowledge myself, I felt I was able to deal with all activities relating to the settlement of mums estate, but just needed a discussion to remind myself of the processes. The advice and information given was brilliant and confirmed that my knowledge was up to date and allowed me to proceed with the various processes necessary to finalise matters.

What I appreciated the most about the service provided was that I did not feel any pressure to select a particular type of funeral when I met the funeral director. I was guided through the implications of the choices I had made. A relative had sent flowers to the funeral home on the day of the funeral and they were placed on the coffin as I had requested. I was pleased to see this had happened on the day.

The Coop funeral care team at Benwell Newcastle have been amazing. They have cared for us and all the family from the first day when we arranged my Dad’s funeral. The team took great care of my Dad. The staff made us very welcome when we visited the chapel of rest. 
Nikki and the team rang to make sure we had everything we needed and asked if there was anything we needed just let them know.
