The team were very helpful, compassionate and nothing was too much trouble. They rang every couple of days to see if everything was OK and offering to help with any extra arrangements not covered by the funeral plan. Hearing a friendly voice or seeing a friendly face helped us get through a das time.

The funeral director Claire Dalton provided an excellent  caring and supportive service to my family  at a very difficult time.  I would like to thank Claire and all the staff from the Jarrow branch who ensured my mother’s funeral went perfectly on the day.  They looked and provided a professional, understanding and friendly  service  and supported us through it all. 
Excellent service and I would recommend using the Co-op Funeral Services.

The care we received as a family when we lost our Peter was very caring Jill the undertaker was outstanding with her care and detail on the day of Peters funeral. The humorist Michael talked about Peter as if he knew Peter himself the service was so lovely. All the staff when we went to visit Peter where so caring can’t thank you all enough. An excellent supportive service from first contact to the funeral itself. All staff we dealt with, specifically David, Allison, Tracy and Gill, who did a great job on the day, we’re fantastic. Their competence and attentiveness was much appreciated at what is a difficult time.

Tracy and Alison where wonderful I felt they took care of my mam just as well as I did they reassured me through it all they are fantastic and empathetic the whole experience from start to finish was magnificent and helped me heal and prepare for her final journey I couldn't of coped doing it without them they where my strength and would highly recommend them to anyone they most certainly are the best for taking care of our lives ones when we no longer can.

Where to start. Was professional and courteous from the start. Made the hardest day of my life a little bit easier. 
Gill was so respectful of my mam bowing to her outside her home and at the crematorium. Also the extra personal touch of wearing a red cravat (mams favourite colour) and a top hat was such a lovely gesture.
Lastly the hearse was the nicest one I’ve seen and took my mum to her final resting place in style.
Highly recommend them as 14 years ago they also looked after my dad and were just as good then.

Outstanding, professional, sympathetic and empathetic handling of the funeral.  Rarely does one interact with an organisation made up of people that truly believe in what they do. From first entering Jarrow Funeralcare a calmness and sensitivity exuded from the staff.  Our point of contact was Gill.  She consulted us on every aspect of the process and we were kept firmly up to speed with the how, when and where; she handled everything. We really appreciated the attention to detail she made to make everything perfect for us.  It made a difficult occasion bearable. No request was too much trouble, she went the extra mile to make things personal and make sure everything was organised. The service was exactly what we wanted it to be. I can’t recommend them enough.
