I've had to use Jarrow co-op funeral care quite a few times over the past few years, each and every time they have been Fantastic with special thanks to Gill and Linda.
Professional, polite and very empathetic, the staff are so easy to deal with, which takes a lot of the stress and worry away from a difficult time.

From the minute we were introduced to Gill and Linda we were in good hands. All of our requirements were fulfilled in a caring and compassionate manner. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did for my Mam’s funeral recently.  Nothing was too much trouble and they helped us so much at such a sad time. We were treat with the utmost respect and everyone was very kind . Gill kindly did a video call so that our family overseas could see the service live and still be a part of the funeral and able to hear the eulogies. Well done everyone !!

My lovely mam died peacefully at home at the end of June after battling cancer. After the nurses had been to certify her death we contacted the funeral home in Jarrow. My mams sister was doing a 12 hour bus journey from wales to see her and was due to arrive at 3pm however my mam passed away on the morning. We explained the situation and they where more than happy to accommodate our request and waited to come and collect her until all the family could see her. This was the start of the brilliant service we received. The following day Gill came to visit us and went through everything to decide what we would like for the funeral and explained how things work. She was so compassionate and caring and you could tell she really cared about us as a family and my mam, she reassured us she would be well cared for in the funeral home. We requested a photo coffin and had other extras that she helped to get complete. Everything was seamless and worry free. We where always greeted lovely when coming in to visit my mam too. On the day of the funeral Gill had everything set and it ran very smoothly. We had the best day possible and can’t thank Gill enough. She is just simply the best at what she does and we would recommend her to anyone who needs this service in the future.
