Our funeral director, David & all of the team at Gilpin Lodge are the most empathetic, considerate & helpful  people, whilst still maintaining a superb standard of professionalism. Unfortunately this is the second family funeral I have had to arrange within the past six months & I can not thank them enough for their support during both. I would not hesitate in recommending them, as both funerals were conducted with such care & attention. Even at this difficult time, with all the restrictions, both funerals felt very personal to all our family.

I dealt with David at the Houghton branch, I can’t fault him at all, from beginning to end always kind and professional, excellent communication from himself and other staff, listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure everything was as we had asked, a bereavement is a devastating time for any family but once Harry was taken to Houghton David’s reassurance made us feel like Harry was being looked after , even in death and that is what you need to know for peace of mind, a credit to your company
