David Simm and his team went above and beyond to care for my daughter. The whole family felt supported. Nothing was too much trouble. They listened to us and helped to provide an unforgettable send off for my daughter. We'll be eternally grateful to them all.

David, Holly and Lisa were so compassionate and understanding. I was consumed with grief but I never felt uncomfortable or embarrassed in their presence. They allowed me to weep and talk about Dad, the type of man he was and what type of funeral he would have preferred. They never rushed me. David especially had such a warm, calming voice.
Dad looked so smart and the premises were always pristine.
Every last detail of Dad's funeral was perfect and the staff ensured that my family's every wish was catered for.
David, Holly and Lisa would email me then call to confirm receipt. They would gently prompt me if deadlines were looming. David always enquired about my wellbeing during face to face or telephone conversations and I found this very comforting.
I loved seeing Lisa standing outside the funeral parlour as we passed in the limo. It was freezing but there she was with her head bowed. I found that very touching. Our celebrant Graeme was extremely professional and even the driver of our limo must be commended. Also Lisa?
I cannot praise the staff at Houghton Co-op funeral care enough. Dad had exactly the type of send off he would have wanted, a celebration of his life with loved ones. I will recommend David and hi s staff to friends and family. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Jean Turnbull.
