Handled with the utmost respect and care that our loved one required.
We would like to say a big Thank you to Lisa who dealt with the Dads Funeral Arrangements and to David (both at the Houghton office), who oversaw the actual Funeral on the day. They were both so very helpful, kind,and accommodating with our requests. We could not fault their friendly professionalism.
We would also like to Thank everyone from the 2 gentlemen that came to the house the
evening of his passing, to the team at Washington,who took care of him whilst in their care.
Our Thanks also go to John Wilmott who helped put together Dads Ulogy and who oversaw the Service at Durham Crematorium.
So on behalf of myself, Mam, brother & all our immediate family , Thank you, just THANK YOU.

Despite my father having a pre-arranged funeral plan in place we received a great deal of support and advice during this difficult time. We were kept informed of all the necessary arrangements to get my father into the chapel of rest and advice on what documentation was required and how to get it.
Arrangements were made for the church service and the burial leaving the family time to make our own personal arrangements regarding the service content and funeral attendance etc. We were contacted regularly to check everything was ok and the funeral itself went exactly as planned. Thank you to David and his team for their support in the lead up to and on the day of the funeral itself. After support was offered and we only need to call if this is required. We could not have asked for more.

Can’t rate the service we received high enough,David was fantastic from the  beginning even after the funeral he was in touch to see how we were ,They were very attentive and respectful and couldn’t help you enough they made the awful process even more bearable and Maria who preformed the service was outstanding with her attention to detail and background research.For the one process that no one wants to do they have made it easy with respect and dignity for our loved one

David Simm and staff were extremely professional, compassionate  and helpful and guided us through the whole process. The service was excellent. The Celebrant,Ann Ferrier, did a great job at leading the service.
David even followed through after the funeral to see if we were managing and if there was anything he could help us with. We thank them all for their support and kindness at this difficult and sad time.
I would definitely recommend the Coop funeral service.

I cannot thank the Co Op funeral care enough for their kindness, support, care and compassion following the passing of our loved one, not just for taking such special care of all the arrangements, but also for their after care, taking the time and trouble to keep in contact and making sure the family were Ok, following our bereavement.
Every single person was so helpful, and respectful, always going the extra mile, nothing was too much trouble.
