During this difficult time I didn't have to think or really act on anything to do with the logistics of the funeral, it was all done quickly and efficiently by the co op team. Our day was totally focused on my mother and I fully appreciate that. Well done.

Claire made a very difficult task much more bearable. The funeral went according to plan and we were kept informed throughout the process.

From the outset, the arranging of the funeral was handled with dignity and courtesy. All requests regarding admitting the body into church the day before the funeral, attending at the end of the church service, provision of flowers to specific requirements, and subsequent transfer to chosen crematorium were met in full. The arrangements flowed seamlessly and with a sense of respect and sensitivity throughout. Excellent service in all aspects.

My Aunt had arranged her own funeral with a Co-op plan, this helped us enormously. When she died we were able to contact the Co-op Funeral Director and they took over the arrangements.

We were kept informed at every step.

Due to the Covid restrictions everything was done over the phone. Informing the Registrar of her death, ordering certificates, wreaths, prayers, music. All done with help from Simon.

Definitely recommend.

The co-op Funeral Care Director Simon and the office staff were very respectful towards my late husband .I took great comfort when my late husband was taken into the care of the Funeral Director at the co-op.
The Service although sad was conducted in an empathetic manner and the organisation of the service went smoothly thanks to Simon and his Staff.

After my dad passed away I made contact with the Cooperative funeral care as per my dads policy and spoke to the central team who too my details and passed them onto Courtney out local funeral director, Courtney has been very clear and easy to manage dad's funeral, everything went off well on the day of the funeral so all the stress of arranging the funeral was kept to a minimum.

Claire, who helped us with my mam's funeral a few years ago was excellent again. She took control of everything offering the right advice and guidance throughout this process. Everything ran so smoothly which was a great relief and a great stress relief too. Unfortunate circumstances that smaller numbers could attend but they are the rules and beyond the control of the Co-operative funeral service. After my mam passed my dad got his funeral plan which is invaluable. Both my wife and I have plans through the Co-operative also, as the service, help, courtesy, empathy and politeness at such a sensitive time is second to none. Plus they contacted the Humanist Val Cranston who is like a family friend over the last 3 years and conducted all of the services beautifully and this one for my dad was really special. Thank you to you all.

Claire Palgrave from the Gateshead office was amazing who arranged all of the funeral plans for the late Gary Palmer. From the minute she called to the end of the funeral it all ran smoothly and so beautiful. It was everything and more than we expected.
