I could not thank or recommend Chris highly enough for the service he gave to me and my most precious possession ( my partner)on my recent loss . It’s extremely difficult to pick an undertaker at such an emotional time , I was recommended Walkers but still don’t recall by who ! After an initial phone call it felt like Chris took me by the hand and led me through what could have been a terrible time , he made it feel ok .Everything was as he promised me it would be , if not better and all our guests passed comment on the service we received. Last but not least , the value was outstanding. He knew exactly what we wanted and delivered on the nail . We all want to feel we did the best for our loved ones and with Chris’s help I think we did . Thank you hardly seems enough.

Excellent service throughout. Other local funeral service companies try to get you to upgrade but make it sound like you're receiving a discount, not with CM Walker what you see is what you get which is a caring,polite, professional service from a company who understand and care. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to friends and family.

Absolutely amazing service by Chris. At such a terrible time, he managed to make everything go so much smoother. The flowers were beautiful and so was the coffin and he couldn’t have picked a better humanist - dale to do my dads eulogy. For every step of this process Chris went beyond the call of duty, taking every call and meeting every request - no matter how strange - with compassion, warmth, professionalism and a can-do attitude.

Throughout what was the most difficult time of my life, and as the weeks passed closer to the day of my Dad’s funeral I only felt more and more fortunate to have C.M Walker’s services as a caring and accommodating guide through the process. No request seemed to big and no question went without a clear and swift answer.

With the Covid restrictions and reduced attendance numbers this had the potential to be even more distressing process than normal - we had to change the date of the service multiple times, we had to change the location of the service - each curveball Chris took in his stride and helped us to find a quick and suitable resolution, keeping us all calm and together at a time when the smallest hitch made us feel like falling apart.  

We went for the ‘Direct Cremation 2’ option as funds were limited, and we were blown away by the service we received for this price, especially when many of the bigger national funeral services charge much more for a list of the same or fewer services. With this option we never once felt like we were doing a disservice to Dad or ‘scrimping’ with his send off. Instead it was a truly special day made even more so by Chris’ brilliant and respectful leading of the service. A man that is truly very good at his job. 

All of this and much more for what is one of the most competitive prices in the country (when Chris says no hidden costs he means it) left me feeling very lucky to have chosen C.M Walker’s to help us say goodbye to my Dad.

They kept me fully informed as to what the next steps I should take were. They dealt with my mums funeral, and only eight weeks later, my fathers funeral. They are amazing.
