Cristina provided an exceptional response to us at a very difficult time. When other local firms said it was out of the question to arrange a funeral at such short notice she had a completely "can do" attitude to make it work. Olha's daughter and all of us supporting her were enormously grateful for this positive approach and the entirely satisfactory conduct of the ceremony.
In addition I believe the charges were lower than some other firms (though we did not seek comparisons) which was a help as Olha and her daughter (both living in the UK under the Homes for Ukraine scheme) had very limited savings.

Christina and Stuart were very kind and helpful. I had never lost anyone before and hadn't a clue how anything worked, but Christina and Stuart made the process easy and smooth. My case wasn't the most straightforward because I was trying to arrange the cremation from far away from Guildford, but Christina and Stuart helped me get things sorted by liaising with a branch that was local to me so that I could sign the necessary paperwork without hours of travel (Dad was in Guildford, but I live on the South Coast). Christina and Stuart kept me informed every step of the way and were proactive. I felt like I'd handed over a daunting task to some friends and they'd dealt with it for me, removing a huge weight from my shoulders. I am very grateful to them.

My husband asked for a Direct Cremation which I arranged and paid for online. The team at Guildford then contacted me promptly the following day and discussed the process with me thoroughly and kept me notified throughout the procedure. When I visited their premises to sign the necessary paperwork, they were extremely friendly and immediately put me at my ease without being overly obsequious. Would highly recommend.

I visited several funeral directors, as soon as i walked in, there was an instant rapport with Christina and Paul. I took my son along the next day and he felt the same, we appointed them there and then. I couldn't have wished for anyone better to take care of my daughter. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond along with Stuart, to make sure everything was spot on to my wishes and liking leading up to the funeral. On the day everything went smoothly and was 1st class. The attention to detail was superb and myself and family had nothing to worry about. Courtesy calls just to make sure we were ok during the whole process. Would highly recommend.

From start to finish everything went smoothly. Stuart and Christina were very professional but also extremely caring and easy to talk to whilst discussing the funeral arrangements for our dad. 
We were put in touch with a lovely celebrant, Trish, who was also excellent in dealing with our wishes for the funeral.

The care and support that we got from Guildford Funeralcare was exceptional. Christina who was my main contact was amazing. She was very warm, kind and compassionate  combined with great efficiency. She responded immediately to any of our questions and helped me through the steps needed. She was perfect.

From my first contact with them until after the funeral everyone I dealt with could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. The Celebrant was excellent and as a consequence the Celebration of my wife’s Life was a happy event attended by close to 100 people. It was a wonderful send off for her.
