Karen was very kind, considerate, personalised the service for us, kept us well-informed and communicated with us throughout the entire process up to the day of the funeral. Anita and Alex were both very friendly, professional and kind to all of us.

The only issue was with Coop Financial Services who were the first to call, offering condolences then immediately trying to upsell legal services. That was just crass in the extreme, I’m still fizzing about it. You really need to stop them doing that.

I was very impressed with Ashtead Funeral Care. Karen Matthews the funeral arranger was both kind & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. At the service the funeral director & his colleagues were amazing. Everyone involved from the company made what was a difficult time a lot easier to cope with, I will always be grateful to them for that

From the very first meeting with Karen we were treated in a most compassionate caring manner all our questions were answered in a very professional way , all the arrangements were checked and double checked . Karen the minister was also caring and had all our wishes converted into a caring service for all , mum was at the chapel of rest to allow family members to say their final goodbyes .
The day before the cremation every body made contact to ensure we were ok and all any final questions were answered including terry who could not get hold of us in the working hours but made sure he spoke to us late that evening . everybody was compassionate faultless and caring could not recommend you highly enough

Everyone was so helpful and caring. We were allowed as much time as needed to understand what was needed and how the funeral would proceed. There were no problems at any stage. Karen and Anita at the co-op were absolutely wonderful. Karen Acres the celebrant was outstanding, her reading of the letters was beautiful and very moving. Thank you to everyone involved. Karen, who helped to arrange my mum's funeral was so amazing from start to finish. She helped me with every aspect of arrangements and provided valuable support during my time of grieving. Drivers and crem team were great on the day of the funeral and deserve top marks.
Office staff need to be less rushed and to be a bit more thoughtful. I felt like I was one in a long line of tasks that had to be quickly ticked off. That's not how anyone needs to feel when arranging a funeral. I also didn't need to be told.....the moment I sat down for the first meeting....about the problems getting hold of the certifying GP. That's your job, not a problem you should share with me. And then insisting the green form had not been sent, then not apologising when you found it had, was unprofessional. It also meant my husband spent time on the phone chasing it when he should have been by my side making the arrangements. And if no one ever thinks to provide underwear to dress their loved one, why haven't you thought to mention it when you ask for clothes to be brought in? You are the people who do this all the time.
Please just slow down. I lost count of the number of times you said goodbye and put the phone down when i was still speaking.

My beloved husband and I had made the decision to each have a direct funeral with no frills. From the moment we both visited Co op Ashtead Funeralcare a couple of months ago we were warmly welcomed by Karen who guided us through the procedure involved in this type of funeral. We decided there and then that this was for us! A few weeks later my husband died and my family and I visited Karen who was most professional and sympathetic.
I would recommend the Co op Ashtead Funeralcare service to anyone looking for a dignified and caring funeral for their loved one.
