Kevin Lownds Funeral Services is a family owned and run funeral directors in Newcastle, providing first-class care to families of all religions and faiths throughout the region.

Kevin Lownds worked for a large corporate funeral directors for 25 years, but had always hoped to open up an independent family run funeral home - when he was made redundant it was the perfect chance. Becoming independent for Kevin was about giving the very best service he knew he could to families. He wanted to help families make the funeral as unique and special as the individual.

Kevin Lownds Funeral Services understand that the loss of a loved one is the most painful experience a family can go through, so they aim to facilitate any requests and deliver the funeral you and your loved ones want. They offer a first class and professional service at all times, offering advice, guidance and support. As a family firm, they will offer the same support to you as they give to one another, taking all of your wishes into consideration.

Kevin has more than 30 years experience in supporting families, arranging and conducting funerals from all ethnic groups, both religious and non- religious. You will also be looked after by the rest of the Lownds family. Kevin’s wife, Susan, worked as a registered General and Sick Children’s Nurse for 40 years, so she has a wealth of experience in supporting families through difficult times in their lives. Their daughters, Jacqui and Jayne, also work in the family business, offering a sensitive and empathetic touch to every family who needs them.
