Service was absolutely excellent especially as Dad's funeral was in Burnley. Sue & Dave excelled themselves in professionalism, dedication and made the overall process of me arranging Dad's funeral a lot easier to deal with. As well as this, as the funeral was in Burnley, there was A LOT of travelling/liaising they did from a distance and in actual fact, also dealt with issues that arose, out of their control, which they didn't necessarily have to deal with. We cannot praise them enough.....thank you Sue & Dave fir everything - words can't express how pleased I am that Dad chose your company as his Funeral Directors. An extra note - the hours put in by Sue to assist in this process are very impressive, I was in discussions sometimes very late at night - no fixed office hours for her! ;-)

From the very first contact from the Paramedic team, until the last the service has been exemplary.




In particularly each and every contact with Sue left me feeling that my Mothers last time on Earth was being handled by a true professional in her field.

Thankyou so much for helping me organise the funeral of my dear mum so painless. You helped me through the pain I was going through and understood when I spoke jibberish on the phone because I felt brain dead. When I came to say my final good by to my mum she look beautiful you had taken the time to make sure what I had requested you had done. I have always held your company in great respect as you always show such dignity to to all.

I cannot praise Murray's Independent Funeral Directors enough for the way they handled my mother's funeral.  Megan Griffiths handled all the arrangements with care and empathy; she was the consummate professional and I cannot thank her enough for her kindness.  Barry was with us on the day and I felt as if I had a gentle arm around my shoulders for the whole event.  

They made a difficult time more bearable.

I cannot thank Murrays enough for the way they looked after my husband who recently died at St Giles Hospice. The care with which they looked after his body was beautiful. The way they supported myself and the whole family was sensitive and very professional. People can be kind and sympathetic but it takes real skill to manage everyone; their emotions and stresses.  It was a rollercoaster of emotions for myself and family but we received constant attention and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail meant my husband had a memorable funeral. I have had many comments from family and friends who felt the funeral itself was so perfect for our loved man.  I have total confidence in the funeral director Sue and will always be grateful to her and Becky for their amazing support and professional care
