After arranging 2 funerals in the last couple of years,I would like to thank the Co op funeral care. They were efficient, empathetic, caring and nothing too much trouble. All questions answered. The cars,flowers and staff amazing. Very smart, and everything organised. Even the aftercare, exemplary. An amazing team and would definitely recommend.

Kirsty went above and beyond for me after my partner got taken away from me at the very young at of 40. Being 35 myself organising my partners funeral was something I never thought I’d have to do so at the most traumatic time of my life I didn’t have a clue where to even start. From the very first telephone phone to fairest all the staff were kind compassionate caring and heartwarming, people I needed around me for guidance at this horrendous time. The funeral was exactly how we had planned it and was a beautiful tribute to my pete. Fairest also cared for both my grandparents and they’d be my first point of call for any of my loved ones in the future. Thank you Kirsty and team for everything you have done for me and my children no words will ever be enough to express how much your kindness has touched our hearts. Lots of love sam and family Xx

The initial booking experience was not the best, several phone calls, always speaking to a different person and one that promised to revert with information and did not do so.
Once the booking had been made, everything from that point was exemplary. I cannot fault the funeral arrangements, service, the celebrant and the care that was shown.

Sherree listened to our wishes, allowing grandsons to take part carrying the coffin, and instructed them the way to do it.

Excellent and professional from start to finish.

The only downside John Fairest building at Wadsley Bridge, which inside could do with a bit of modernisation inside, eg new carpets and wallpaper.

Apart from that highly recommended .

I cannot praise Kirsty and her colleagues enough for arranging Dads funeral. They were amazing and made us feel loved and looked after at this difficult time . We used them when we lost Mum and didn’t hesitate to use them again when we lost Dad . Thank you

All staff were Amazing from beginning to end. They did my dad proud! Kieran the funeral director was brilliant and very helpful. The funeral service crew were fantastic too ( Paul, Keith, Colin, Michael)and did a fantastic job. All our family are really grateful to all of them.
