Extremely professional and compassionate service. I felt supported from the first phone call to the office right through the arrangements and service. A very sad time made more difficult due to COVID restrictions was made more bearable due to the excellent support. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending A.J Wakely. Wincanton. A.J.Wakely & Sons Wincanton is a family-run funeral director in Wincanton that has been providing an independent funeral director service to the bereaved since 2009.

A.J.Wakely & Sons date back to 1897, and they opened a funeral home in Wincanton in 2009. The office is managed by fifth generation family member, Richard Wakely, alongside Claire, the office manager.

Richard Wakely, the funeral director for Wincanton, has a Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration (DipFAA). He joined the family business in 2014 after years of charity work in the Philippines and is extremely proud to be following in the footsteps of his father Clive Wakely,the Director of A.J.Wakely & Sons.
