Karen and the team made a difficult time as easy as it could be, dealing with the entire family (my mum, brother, our partners and myself - his daughter) with the utmost sensitivity and tact. From initial consultation to viewing my father’s body period to the funeral, to the funeral itself, Karen made it as straightforward as it could be for us. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to others and am extremely grateful for their care.

From the initial enquiry relating to my fathers repatriation, Karen was Professional, Knowledgeable, Caring and Helpful.

From the Start of the repatriation process, Karen communicated regularly which provided a sense of comfort knowing my fathers current situation. Karen started arranging the specifics in advance of my dad arriving home, which certainly made the the process easier.

Karen was outstanding and went over and above in my opinion, arranging meetings to fit with people dialling in from different time zones. When my Father was returned home, Karen contacted immediately to reassure my family, he was in their care and ensured he would be looked after. During the time my Father was in their care, Karen again demonstrated her appreciated commitment by arranging certain things which on an occasion, it appeared she was actually in her own time.

Karen's advice and arrangements for the service were valued by my family and contributed immensely to ensure my dad received the best send off my family and friends could have wished for. I also have to praise Karen for responding to a request that ensured my fathers ashes were returned quicker than expected, which guaranteed part of him returning to a country and place he adored.

I would like to Thanks Karen and her Team at Walter Johnston & Sons for their exceptional professionalism during the service. Their conduct ensured my family were put at ease during the challenging time.

I absolutely recommend Walter Johnston and Sons and a particular mention to Karen who was outstanding.

Linda was very helpful in assisting us when we were making arrangements for my mums funeral. Karen and the drivers took great care of us on the day of the funeral. It was a difficult day but having such a organised and professional team with us was very reassuring. Many thanks to them all.

My family and I found all the staff at Walter Johnston and Sons Funeralcare, Renfrew, to be caring, approachable and very professional. Susan and Linda assisted greatly by keeping us informed at each stage of the arrangements for my brother Peter. The staff who assisted at the services, Pamela, Karen and Ailish, were also found to be kind, caring and professional and made a very difficult time more bearable by ensuring everyone knew what to do and when.

Always have used Walter Johnson for all family passed previously and as usual they didn't let us down. Courteous and sympathetic. No hard sell and when I changed something a couple of days after appointing them it was no trouble for them to do. Very good service.

We suffered a terribly tragic bereavement and chose Walter Johnston as our funeral directors because my family has always used them. Right from the start of all the ladies couldn’t have done any more for us. They were so understanding and kind. It was a difficult situation that none of us have navigated before but they kept us informed at every stage. They were so empathetic it made me feel at ease dealing with everything. Nothing was too much trouble. Pamela, Susan, Linda and Kelly the driver were all excellent at what they do and made the worst time in our lives slightly more bearable.

The way my Partner Thomas's Funeral was conducted on the day was very respectful. The Funeral Director on the day called me in the morning which i thought was a lovely touch and the way she walked in front of the Hearse to the top of the road was particularly moving to me. I was treated very well when organising Thomas's Funeral as both our families were when we went to view Thomas in the Funeral Parlour. My family have always used Walter Johnstone because of their high standards.
