My friend had made a pre paid plan and made her wishes clear This helped considerably when discussing arrangements with Chris (Flint) We were able to proceed quickly in our decision making and Chris was friendly and easy to talk to answering all of my questions
Funerals fortunately are occasions that we rarely have to arrange and l appreciated the time taken to explain the stages that we must take. Frankly l didn't really know what my expectations were l know that I'm grateful for their attention to detail and keeping me up to date on what was happening
On the day of my friends funeral everything proceeded as planned The following day we scattered her ashes next to her husbands at the Crematorium just as she wished. I believe she would have been very content with the respect shown to her during the whole process
There is, however, an unpleasant incident which l mentioned to Chris. I'm fairly resilient but at the time l was upset.
When l first rang not having a clue what l was supposed to do(!) I didn't actually get through to the Sutton branch and the gentleman
l spoke with was more concerned about proof that my friend had passed and who was with her to verify her passing He became quite abrupt when l said l didn't know I'd explained at the start of the conversation l needed help and guidance Frankly at this point l didn't feel that l was getting it!
I rang the Bereavement Centre and they explained what needed to be done in sequence Not long after a lady from the Sutton office contacted me and all went well from there.
Whilst l was trying to answer his questions l dreading the thought of dealing with him throughout the process So l would suggest that everyone who answers the phone shows compassion and understanding realising that we the customer do not know the ins and outs of funeral arrangements we need to be treated with patience

Our family has been extremely pleased with the service provided by Co-op Funeralcare, Sutton-in-Ashfield, following the passing of our much beloved father.  Chris has been outstanding in his role, being very patient and understanding, whilst helping us through all the necessary steps throughout this difficult time.  We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Co-op to our friends and family.  Thank you so much.
