Lymns have conducted several family funerals for us and they do so with absolute professionalism. Teresa is understanding without being sentimental, which is something you don't need at a time like that. Richard, the celebrant gave us a truly beautiful service and several members of the family commented on how lovely it was. Every aspect of Lymns' service is polished and dignified. I rate them exceptionally highly.
Established in the 1950’s, the office was originally Oliver & Son Funeral Services but in 1994 the Beeson family sold the business to the A W Lymn group.
Set in a beautiful rural environment, this office has visiting rooms, a reception area, family rooms and cold room facilities.
Funeral directors Teresa Spencer and Gary Cooke are in charge of the funeral home and will be more than happy to help in person Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also schedule an appointment to be seen after hours if it is more convenient for you. To do so, please call the telephone number, which is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The office covers all of Ruddington and its surrounding areas including Bradmore, Bunny, Burton on the Wolds, Costock, East Leake, Hoton, Keyworth, Kingston upon Soar, Normanton on Soar, Normanton on the Wolds, Rempstone, Sileby, Stanton on the Wolds, Sutton Bonnington, West Leake, Widmerpool, Willoughby on the Wolds, Wysall and beyond.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is owned and managed by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose. Nigel is a former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).

A. W. Lymn of Ruddington were brilliant at organising my mums funeral in April of this year. Teresa came to the house to help with everything that was needed and answered all our questions, so that we did not have to worry about anything. The funeral went smoothly and gave my mum a good send off. This is the third funeral for our family with A.W Lymn in the last three years, I would recommend them highly.

From the initial enquiry, home visit, the supporting staff at the Chapel of rest through to the funeral itself. Matthew and his team were brilliant, the day was immaculately planned and executed and a minor adaptation required at the crucial unforeseen moment was done with consummate professionalism. Gary and his team were exemplary from the start. Everything was handled carefully and efficiently, leaving nothing to chance. The day went really well and Theresa and Richard the Celebrant kept us well informed of everything That went on and I like the fact that you would be able to see the draft of the service and itinerary of the whole thing so we were able to check to make sure that we were happy with everything and nothing was too much trouble.
They couldn't have been more thoughtful and the ceremony was expressed by everyone that attended how proud Neil would have been with his send off

I was delighted that Teresa at Ruddington was my main contact , she is so easy to work with and puts one at ease immediately and throughout, working as a great team with Gary.
Edward the Director on the day is a top class professional as well as very personable man.
Lee our driver knew exactly how and when to interact with us over the five hours , yes five hours we were in the car with him.
An excellent family business with standards and passion delivering the service they provide.

Very professional. Very kind, supportive and caring. Very helpful, sorted every little detail out on behalf of the famuly, so that we didn't need to worry about anything. They took all of the stress and pressure away for us. They kept us informed at every stage of the funeral planning. They listened to what type of funeral and service we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was exactly as the family had wished. I would highly recommend them.
