Thank you to Jane and Lindsay for their help and support. They gave me time whenever I needed it (and I needed it quite a lot) and professional guidance that managed to be kind and human at the same time. Thanks also for looking after Bob and all the family members who came to see him to say goodbye. The funeral itself went perfectly and it was only Covid that spoilt things by preventing us from getting together with friends and family after the service. But
I still wish the cherry tree was still there! Barbara x

Very pleased with how the funeral preparations went and especially with the arrangements by Lynsey at Radcliffe on Trent branch.
Also, impressed by the readings at the service made by Malcom.
Fred Beeson established a funeral service in Radcliffe on Trent in 1937 and moved to a purpose built funeral home in 1961. The business was incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 1994 and still remains at the same location. The premises underwent a major refurbishment in 2020.
The funeral home is run by Funeral Arranger Emma Hutton, who will be able to assist you Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays, from 9 am to 12.30 pm. If you need assistance outside of office hours then please call the telephone number at any time.
The funeral home covers Radcliffe and all its surrounding areas, including Barnstone, Bingham, Caythorpe, Colston Bassett, Cotgrave, Cropwell Bishop, Cropwell Butler, East Bridgford, Granby, Gunthorpe, Harby, Hickling, Kinoulton, Langar, Long Clawson, Lowdham, Owthorpe, Plungar, Shelford, Tythby, Upper Saxondale and further afield.
The Rose family has a connection with Radcliffe dating over 100 years. A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service is currently run by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose.

Lynne, Your mum sounded so lovely and interesting, being one of the first women to know how to use a computer and still using her ipad at the age of 100 years young. It is always a daunting task to have to book a funeral.
I need not have worried.
From the initial consultation I felt in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble, and I was taken at a pace to suit me. Nothing felt rushed. Every detail explained and reiterated to make sure "we were all singing from the same hymn sheet". (forgive the pun!!). It was reassuring to get a telephone call the day before the funeral just to go through everything.
Lindsay, is a true asset to the company. The years of experience as a business not only shows in their attention to detail, but they still retain that family and personal touch. The company has obviously progressed to meet with the times. I felt they wrapped me in a huge blanket and guided me through the process.
We did have a little hiccup regarding the flowers, but Jane calmly dealt with the situation, again another example of their professionalism.
My friend said " Lymn's........well they have certainly got it right"
I felt so safe in your hands as I am sure did my mum.

Mum had her final journey on what should have been Flintham show day, travelling through Screveton Village and saying goodbye to Beans farm and the other villages on her way. I am only sorry that there was the slight hiccup with the flowers but am glad Jane handled this well for you. I hope Rolo is behaving and everytime I go into waitrose I will think of your mum with her basket or two! (James with one basket). Enjoy Norfolk next time you go and of course Woodhall Spa and the happy memories we have spoken about which it was lovely to share. Excellent from the beginning, not knowing where to turn or even start you took control and informed me off the choices every step off the way and were so companionate in the sorting out that the funeral went ahead just as my dad would have wanted it with no stress to the family. Lindsay at Lymns in Radcliffe on Trent was brilliant. She took me on a journey of what happens now and next and on the day of my father's funeral. She explained how other people in the process worked and what they did. She spent time talking to me about the services they offer and was able to make the links with local people like the church and the priest. On the day, Jane was the Funeral Director. She and her team were so discrete but very helpful. They made sure that I understood what was happening, what I should do and what my family should. Knowing what to expect was really helpful. Above all they treated my Dad with respect and were kind and sensitive to everyone who gathered to say goodbye to him.

Jane keetly was a very helpful & supportive lady. We felt very comforted & directed by her, she is a huge asset to you. Unfortunately she was unwell,so could not attend the funeral. Although her replacement was pleasant, there was little connection between us for quite a delicate time & I was slightly upset that she started to walk in front of the Hurst which I had specifically ask not to be done.
