Well we’re do I start, after losing my brother very suddenly I was lost and unsure were to start. I contacted lymns and from start to finish they have all been amazing and so caring I couldn’t thank them enough. I had most of my dealings with a young lady called charis and all I can say is she was perfect with everything, she listened to what we wanted and the day turned out amazing. On the day of the funeral everything was perfect and on time and the lead of the journey and the drivers was so compassionate to us as a family it melted my heart. I would highly recommend lyms to anyone that asks me and I would never use anyone else they all have a space in my heart.

Charis was very helpful and knowledgeable. She made it easier for us to get through this awful time. They did also go above and beyond to complete our requests we made for the day.
E Latham and W Bexon funeral directors, both old established funeral firms in Hucknall, were incorporated in St. James House after joining the A.W. Lymn group in 1987.
The funeral home offers off-street parking, a reception area, a chapel of rest and cold room facilities.
St. James House is open between 9 am and 5 pm, from Monday to Friday and is run by Senior Funeral Director Catherine Broome who is assisted by funeral arranger Charis Bull.
If you need to talk after office hours or would like to arrange a more convenient appointment you can get in touch by calling the telephone number which is available 24 hours, seven days a week.
In the Hucknall office, Catherine with the help of Emma Hind also manages our pre-paid funerals provided by Ecclesiastical.
St. James House covers all of Hucknall and its surrounding areas including to the north: the villages of Blidworth, Linby, Papplewick and Ravenshead; to the north-west: Annesley, Annesley Woodhouse and Newstead Village; to the east: Bestwood Country Park and Bestwood Village; to the west: Eastwood, Heanor, Jacksdale, Selston, Underwood and Westwood.
St. James House is part of the A W Lymn group, managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family.

I cannot thank Charis enough for everything she did for us. She made the whole process feel a lot easier.
We had never organised a funeral before and she took us through everything we needed to do at the right speed.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and everything just went so smoothly.
I thought the memory box at the end was such a lovely touch. We were recommended Lymns and I would definitely recommend Lymns again.

We received excellent guidance and support from Deanna in organising my husband’s funeral. Deanna was very professional, caring and compassionate. She was so helpful with the order of service and dealing with the team at Sherwood Forest Crematorium. Everything went really well on the day.
