I can’t speak highly enough of their service.
Danny, Jess and Mark and his colleagues on the day, were beyond exceptional.
All very calm and understanding, nothing was too much trouble for them and it was extremely comforting to know my mum’s funeral was in safe hands.
I shall be forever in their debt.
G. Harrod and Sons was purchased by the A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in October 1994 and moved from their original building on Church Street to a purpose designed larger office, also on Church Street on 2nd January 2018.
Harrod House features two ample visiting rooms, a family room, a large reception area and cold room facilities. The office has a large private car park with a disabled parking space.
Mark Ridout is the senior funeral director for the area and is assisted by funeral director Paul Richardson and funeral arranger Emma Hemstock.
Opening times are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral home can open after hours if you call our telephone number and make an appointment – the phone lines are available 24 hours a day, every day.
This office covers all of Carlton and its surrounding area, including Bakersfield, Bulcote, Burton Joyce, Caythorpe, Colwick, Gedling, Lowdham, Mapperley, Netherfield, Sneinton, St Ann’s and beyond.
The Lymn Rose family has managed the business since its establishment in 1907. Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose are directors of the company.

Thank you so much to Danny, my mums funeral couldn’t have been made any easier, Danny led the way and helped my sister and myself through this difficult time. Danny was friendly and sympathetic and always at the end of the phone if we needed extra help. The funeral went well and we have nothing but praise for all the staff that helped us on the saddest day of our lives.

I cannot thank lymns at carlton branch enough, for the great service, myself and my family recieved in the sad loss of my husband Ashley Allen. Danny who looked after us, was amazing, he went above and beyond, his way of dealing with bereaved familys, is really something!
