Fantastic friendly and supportive service from the moment we made our first phone call. Ellie was the perfect balance of sympathetic and professional. Efficient throughout, she made sure we were happy and kept up to date, which gave our family great comfort through what was such a sad and difficult time.
Russ rang prior to the funeral to confirm all our choices which again prevented any last minute worries we might have had.
The cars were beautiful and the driver's kind and respectful, the journey itself was very comfortable.
Our funeral director, Julia, immediately put our whole family at ease, thank you so much for allowing her to accept our special request to direct the funeral. I cannot put into words how supported and comforted Julia made everyone feel. Saying goodbye to the head of our family was so very sad but it was done with the utmost respect, affection and dignity and we could not have been happier with the service. Thank you all so much. St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
