St. Albans House in Arnold was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford in her capacity as President of the National Association of Funeral Directors. The funeral home underwent an extension in late 2012 and was fully refurbished in 2023 to provide modern, comfortable facilities for families.
Led by Funeral Director Russell Kemp, who possesses extensive knowledge of Arnold’s community churches and customs, the funeral home is supported by Funeral Arranger Jessica Raynor and Receptionists/Administrators Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth. Together, they offer compassionate and professional funeral services tailored to each family's needs.
St. Albans House provides a range of facilities to ensure dignified and respectful arrangements:

Very sensitive to our personal wishes and explained the procedures in detail with no pressure to make an immediate decision. There were good communications and the entire process was exemplary and family orientated. We were treated with dignity and respect. Nothing was too much trouble. Every representative of A W Lymn treated us with kindness and the utmost professionalism. The service was incredibly efficient and I have no hesitation in recommending them

Everything was done as requested. Requirements were double checked in plenty of time for changes to be made if required. I was always kept fully informed. The staff could not have been better, and made the whole process seem easy. A big thank you to them all for both my Mothers funeral and the Fathers four years ago

At a time when we were still reeling from the loss of our precious Mother, Ellie looked after us as a family and also took responsibility for all the arrangements on the days leading up to the funeral and also on the day of the funeral . I cannot fault the service which I received.
It's difficult to know where to start in recording my appreciation...
I greatly valued the opportunity to visit the peaceful Chapel of Rest...
The funeral itself ran perfectly, and seemingly effortlessly. The organisation was excellent throughout. The accoutrements - e.g. coffin, flowers, Order of Services - were perfect and beautiful. The advice about such matters as the choice of Celebrant and the location of the Wake was invaluable, and exactly right.
But equally as important as the efficiency and professionalism of all involved was, and is, the unfailing kindness, sensitivity and courtesy of staff, who made an intolerable situation bearable.

It was a privilege to be asked to be involved in Bobâs funeral. It is approaching 40 years since he worked for our family company and I can still think of a few stories and anecdotes which appear, from what was said in the service, to be typical of Bob. From start to finish everyone at A.W. Lymns, and the Celebrant Victoria Corder, were friendly, helpful, sympathetic and professional. Everything was organised with the minimum or fuss following all our wishes, and the service was a beautiful moving celebration of my wife's life. We were very impressed with the way in which AW
Lymn handled my father's funeral. The approach was personal and kind but completely professional too. We felt that they would completely support the choices we made about the funeral without any pressure to purchase 'extras'. There was complete transparency about costs. On the day, the funeral director was most sympathetic and kind, immediately agreeing to postpone the start of the ceremony until the arrival of my father's only surviving brother, who had been stuck in traffic. With the help of Ellie and her team at AW Lymn, we were able to give my father a simple, beautiful and heartfelt farewell.
