I can’t thank Jess from A.W. Lymn Arnold, Funeral Directors enough for her incredible support during one of the hardest times in my life. Organizing my Uncle’s funeral in Nottingham, while I was based in Birmingham, felt overwhelming. From the very start, Jess was friendly, supportive, and incredibly helpful. She explained the entire process thoroughly, sourced a Baptist minister and an organist, and guided us on where to conduct the service. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and whenever I called, she made me feel welcome and reassured that I could reach out anytime.
On the day of the funeral, Mark and his team were outstanding. Mark took charge of every detail from start to finish, allowing me to focus on my family and say a proper goodbye to my Uncle. Thanks to their professionalism, understanding, and genuine care, the entire service went smoothly, and we were able to give my Uncle a beautiful send-off. I’m deeply grateful for the compassion and expertise they showed, and I highly recommend A.W. Lymn for anyone in need of funeral services. Thank you all so much for everything you’ve done.
St. Albans House, situated in Arnold, was opened in 1996 by Alison Maddaford, the president of the National Association of Funeral Directors at the time, and extended during late 2012. It is now run by Russell Kemp who has a very good knowledge of Arnold’s people, ministers, churches and customs. Russell gained his Diploma qualification with the National Association of Funeral Directors and is assisted by our funeral arranger Jessica Raynor. Beryl Spencer and Jodie Ruth are the receptionists / administrators.
A.W. Lymn's Arnold branch features a parking area, reception, two private reception rooms, two visitation rooms and also a visitation suite with an adjoining room where the family can spend time in private. There are also cold room facilities and a small memorial showroom.
Russell, Jessica, Beryl and Jodie will be more than pleased to offer any assistance you require, whether this is ’at need’, or simply an enquiry for the future. The funeral home is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. All A.W. Lymn funeral homes are also open at any time by appointment and the telephone line is available every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
This branch covers all of Arnold and the surrounding areas including Calverton, Daybrook, Epperstone, Killisick, Lambley, Lowdham, Oxton, Redhill, Woodthorpe and beyond.
A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose, who are keeping the family tradition in providing the best service for bereaved families since 1907.

At this very difficult time, Jess, Jodie and Beryl have been remarkable. Very thoughtful, professional and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged mine and family visits to see Karen. Jess stayed with me the first time to make sure I was ok, then left me alone with Karen once I was comfortable. Communication has been excellent. Russell was so respectful when Karen arrived home first for her funeral. Very professional and we felt in safe hands. I did thank Lymns at Karen’s funeral. They made a terrible experience more bearable for myself and family. There is also great communication between Lymn and Kelly & co at the crematorium. Thank you all so very much. From our initial meeting with Jessica at the Arnold branch to discuss Mum's funeral and our subsequent discussions and contacts with Jodie, nothing was too much trouble to arrange the perfect funeral and send off for Mum.
All the little extras we requested including flowers, music, Order of Service were arranged for us.
On the day of the funeral, everything we asked for was carried out to an exceptionally high standard. Paul and his staff were sympathetic and courteous towards all the family members and nothing was too much trouble.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lymn for anyone wanting to arrange a funeral in the future

When dealing with the loss of my loved one , it was hard to know where to begin with organising a funeral for mum.
