From start to finish Roy (funeral director) and Julie in the office were totally professional , warm and approachable - we were consulted all the way through this sad time, supported and advised and plenty of personal contact and courtesy calls before during and after. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was handled with love and care, cannot thank them enough and the team who carried the coffin etc were also very good too.

From my very first phone call to the funeral directors to the funeral itself the service I received from all involved was outstanding. Very professional, friendly, caring and above and beyond helpful. I couldn't fault anything and will be forever grateful for all they did for my uncle and myself. Thank you to everyone involved.

The funeral director was late to our first meeting. On more than one occasion misspelt my name. Gave advice that proved to be incorrect. Asked me to check on floral tributes at his office and didn't appear to know where the church was.
On the other hand Julie and Jackie were very efficient

Kirsty was a very attentive FD and certainly went more than the extra mile to provide the service we requested. Whilst having the direct funeral service explained to myself & sister mid way through the phone rang and was answered. There then followed what seemed like a conversation between colleagues whilst we were sat there looking at each other. At a particularly distressing time for ourselves this was not particularly professional or appropriate in my opinion. Once the telephone call was finished we were asked “now where were we ?”
I should have complained earlier and was given the opportunity by your call centre but at the time was too distressed to do so.

This is the only funeral I've ever had to plan, and I just didn't have a clue! But the Coop guided me through every stage, making me feel extremely well supported, and assured that things would be done perfectly. I particularly liked the clarity with which information was presented, as my brain was fogged particularly that first fortnight. The willow coffin, the flowers and the stationery options were all just beautiful; they catered for our wish to keep everything simple and rustic. On the day, the staff were utterly professional, discreet and beautifully supportive. All in all I felt we got an excellent service, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Personally I cannot fault Co-op Funeral Care, Morpeth.  They carried out all my wishes with the utmost professionalism, showing care and empathy at a time when filled by grief and sadness. Every detail was taken care of.
