Nick and his team were amazing. After chatting at some length with Nick about my father I knew we would be in safe hands.
Nick's compassion and kindness at such a tough time was immeasurable.

Hexham Co-op Funeral Services were wonderful. From the moment we walked through the door they dealt with Dads funeral in a sympathetic yet professional manner. They guided us through every aspect, giving advice with kindness. Nothing was too much trouble. I would especially like to thank Sandra (receptionist) for her unending patience as we changed our minds and Nick for his total commitment. They helped make an extremely sad occasion a lot less harrowing for our family and I thank them.

The whole experience was sensitively and professionally handled.

The choices were explained and no pressure was put on anyone.

The wicker coffin and garland of roses were simple but effective and a lovely tribute to my Mother. Dee, the celebrant was sensitive and professional and the service went off without fault.

I was happy with everything.

On every occasion I contacted them, whether by telephone, email or in person, and on the day of the funeral itself, they were friendly, courteous, efficient, compassionate and very helpful. As a family we were really happy with the way Kevin Christer and his team from the Co-op Funeralcare at Hexham sensitively and professionally acted on our behalf. We were impressed with the quality of all aspects of their service from the day Mam passed away, until after the service when they made sure everything had been done to carry out the families wishes.

I also used the Hexham branch of Coop when my Dad died three years ago and, and had no qualms about using them when Mam passed away in December.

Sandra has been wonderful helping me sort out my mother's direct cremation. She's truly professional and also very caring and considerate. Everything was explained clearly, and she spent extra time taking me through the form filling which I was grateful for! She was also able to encourage the GP surgery to sign forms before the Christmas break, thus avoiding unnecessary delay.

We were having a very stressful time. Nearing 80 ourselves up and down from London to Hexham six times in nine weeks sorting the hospitalised elderly Aunt . From the moment we entered the door at Hexham and were greeted by Sandra we felt “safe”. Then Kevin, another gem,  went through everything with us so kindly and taking all the decisions for us. 
We cannot speak too highly of their service and care.
